Dart 501 Game Rules: Detailed Introduction
  • (The main goal of the game is to reduce the score from 501 to 0 by throwing darts at the scoreboard.)
  • Knockout match pairing.
  • Rounds: Each match consists of 3 sets. Whoever wins the first 2 sets wins the match.
  • Throws: Each round consists of multiple throws. For each throw, the athlete is thrown 3 times.
How to play:
  • Starting Point: Each player starts with 501 points.
  • Objective: Players take turns throwing 3 darts in one turn. The score of the winning darts will be deducted from the player's total score.
  • Finish: To finish, the player must reach exactly 0 points by throwing into the double ring.
Special rules:
  • Over 501 points: If a player's total score after deducting the score of a throw is less than 0, the throw will be canceled and the player's score will remain the same as in the previous round.
  • Final Darts: The last dart must be plugged into the double zone to end the game. Otherwise, the player must keep throwing until this requirement is reached.
Check out with a "double" throw:
  • Drop to 0: When your score is very low, you need to throw a dart at the right double area to reduce the score to exactly 0.
  • Final Darts: The darts inserted into this double zone must be the last dart of the throw.
  • Example: If your score is 40, you need to throw a dart into the double zone of the number 20 to finish.
  • If your score is 170, you can finish by throwing 3 darts into the zones: 100 (triple zone), 40 (double zone), and 30 (single zone).
  • 1. If no player reaches 0 points, the player with the lower score wins that set. For example: Player A has 2 points, Player B has 3 points: Player A will win that set.
  • 2. If both players tie in points, the set results in a tie. However, the player who won the previous/next set will be declared the winner of the match and won't need to play all 3 sets.
  •    - Example 1: Set 1: Player A wins. Set 2: Tie => Player A is declared the winner of the match. Set 3 is not played.
  •    - Example 2: Set 1: Tie. Set 2: Player B wins => Player B is declared the winner of the match. Set 3 is not played.
  • 3. If both sets 1 and 2 end in a tie, both athlete pairs will proceed to Set 3 to determine the winner.

Ho Chi Minh City, formerly known as Saigon, is the largest and most populous city in Vietnam. Located in the southeast region and spanning about 2,061 square kilometers along the Saigon River, it boasts a vibrant mix of history and modernity. With a tropical climate divided into a rainy season from May to November and a dry season from December to April, the city is a dynamic destination for travelers. Steeped in rich history, it transformed from a sparsely populated area under the Funan, Champa, and Khmer empires into a thriving financial hub, particularly after being ceded to the French in 1862. As South Vietnam’s capital until 1975, and renamed Ho Chi Minh City in 1976, the city has grown into Vietnam’s primary economic engine. Visitors can explore its historic architecture, cultural landmarks like the Saigon Opera House, and museums, making it a must-visit for anyone looking to experience the heart of Vietnam.
Ho Chi Minh City is a major transportation hub with Vietnam's busiest airport, Tan Son Nhat International. Motorbikes dominate the streets, but cars, buses, taxis, and ride-hailing apps like Grab and GoJek are also popular for getting around.

An Easy Guide to Getting Around HCMC
1. Taxi:
  • Taking a taxi is the easiest way to get to the city or your hotel. It’s also the safest, if you’re arriving late at night. You’ll find the taxis on the left part of the terminal.
  • Make sure to choose metered taxis to avoid overcharging, you should be extra cautious of getting scammed.
  • The most reliable and popular taxi companies: Mai Linh (white and green) and Vinasun (white) are reliable and widely used.
  • Tip: Before leaving the airport, make sure you have cash in the Vietnamese Dong (VND). We recommends having at least VND 300,000 (or around US$ 14.00) to get to your destination.
  • As you exit, the driver will additional VND 10,000 for the airport exit toll fee. He’ll add this to your metered fare when you get off.
  • Schedule: 24/7
  • Route: Wherever your destination in Ho Chi Minh City.
  • Average Cost: VND 150,000 to 170,000 to District 1.
3. Bus:
  • HCMC has an extensive bus network with over 100 different routes throughout the city. Most buses are equipped with comfortable seats and air conditioning. They are the safest and cheapest way to get around the city, and they stop at major tourist sights.
  • Buses are affordable (around 5,000-10,000 VND per ride), but it might take time to understand the routes. You can use the BusMap app for easy navigation.
  • However, traveling by bus isn’t always the most efficient option. Due to the city’s heavy traffic, locals tend to use other means for shorter distances. If you’re traveling longer distances or heading outside the city center, the bus is your best option.
  • Average Fare and Price:  Single ride fares range from 5,000 to 20,000 VND and one large-sized piece of luggage, depending on the distance. Passengers pay in cash directly to the conductor upon boarding.
  • Schedule: Typically 6:00 am to 8:00 pm, but this varies depending on the route. For a more detailed look at each route and schedule, check the website or download the app.

Best Vietnam SIM cards for tourists
During a trip to Vietnam, it is possible to use the free Wi-Fi of the hotel you’re staying in, and the restaurants or the café. But it’s really hard to connect yourself to free Wi-Fi when you are on the road or at public places in Vietnam, such as at a park, or at a tourist attraction, even if you find a no-password Wi-Fi in a public place, its signal is not good.
So, buying a SIM Vietnam is highly recommended to keep you connected everywhere in Vietnam.
In case it is needed, please keep in mind that you DON’T need to get a SIM card like a local, but a VIETNAM DATA SIM CARD.
There are 3 main SIM Card providers in Vietnam, which are Viettel, Vinaphone, and Mobifone. There’s also a fourth provider called Vietnamobile, its coverage outside of major cities is not really good, so we don’t recommend it here. The best mobile network in Vietnam is Viettel (3G/4G/LTE), known for its extensive network coverage and reliable signal. Viettel offers both regular packages and data plans for tourists to Vietnam. In case you use a regular Viettel SIM Card, you will need to pay the SIM cost (which is around VND 50,000 – 60,000 ~ US $2.5 – 2.8), and then register for a data plan. If you buy a tourist sim card, you only need to pay for the data plan, but it cannot be topped up. It is advisable to check specific information and available plans before purchasing. All these physical SIM cards for tourists mentioned above will be bought at Vietnam airport and big Viettel/Vinaphone stores. If you buy it online, you will need time to get it shipped to your address in Vietnam.
At the moment, the Vietnam tourist sim card is available in 2 forms as follows:
- Physical SIM (Mini-SIM, Micro SIM, and Nano SIM), and
- eSIM profile (hereinafter referred to as eSIM).

Similarities:

- They are both SIMs, and connect the travelers’ phones to mobile providers’ networks in Vietnam and keep them stay connected everywhere in Vietnam.
- They both identify your phone and the type of plan in use
- They both can be used simultaneously in a dual-SIM phone
- They’re both technically “SIMs”
1. Form: An eSIM (embedded sim) is built-in to your phone and downloads your carrier’s plan.
2. Where to buy: Picked up at a physical store
3. Pros:
- eSIMs are convenient:
you can buy the Vietnam tourist eSIM outside Vietnam, download them ANYWHERE you have a network connection, and have it activated right after you land in Vietnam.
eSIMs are market competitive: they are priced the same as any traditional SIM card.
- eSIM can’t be physically damaged or lost: since it’s embedded inside phones, you run a lower chance of damaging cards and weakening your signal quality at the least convenient times.
- SIMs are limited while eSIMs are not: phones with dual-SIM technology allow you to switch lines whenever you like. Some phones go beyond the dual-SIM functionality and allow you to download and store as many eSIM options as you like. This is a major benefit of not being restricted by physical cards.
eSIM is small: since an eSIM is small, it can be fit within new wearable technology such as Apple watches or devices, which may become smaller in size over time.
4. Cons:
eSIM does not work in older phones:
Since it’s relatively new, eSIM is not compatible with older phone models, and you may have to pay for an expensive new phone if you want to use it.

eSIM profile (hereinafter referred to as eSIM):

1. Form: A SIM card is a chip that is physically installed or removed inside your phone with your carrier’s plan
2. Where to buy:  Online
3. Pros:
- SIM is removable: has your phone battery died? No problem, you can swap a SIM card into another unlocked phone with a working battery.
